Ahh this song just got released a few days ago, and man I am addicted to it. However, not going to lie.. it took me a second listen for me to really like it. So if this song doesn’t do it for you the first time either, I suggest you do the same. The remix done by Tiesto, makes this song sound a lot like a remix he did for Turboweekend called Trouble Is (which I highly recommend you check out if you haven’t heard it already). The song Slaughter House is done by Joker, whose album called The Vision is highly anticipated to make its debut in the near future. Anyways, I can see this song being all over the place in the weeks to come. A few years ago, Marcel Woods produced a track called Advanced. Marcel Woods throughout the past has been well known in the trance scene for his production of  huge bangers time and time again. This one was no different and instantly became a hit. Then there’s a man, who has been known universally for years as the face of trance music after his colossal break through with the song Adagio For Strings. The man is better known as Tiesto. After creating his own music label called Musical Freedom, Tiesto has somewhat steered away from the trance scene. However, in this remix Tiesto returns to his roots and turns this somewhat of classic now into a maximal banger! I really love the intensity level this song hits at. Check it out and Kollect!

Currently Tiësto is running a remix competition for his track Work Hard, Play Hard and pair of those remixes have really caught my ear. The first one featured is the remix by 3lau and Sex Ray Vision, both featured on the Kollection, and both known for some great remixes and mashups. Their take on the track is of a more pure house form using some beautiful chords to give it that classic house feel. The other remix of the two comes from DJ DaGo, a producer coming out of California that is in love with those whiny dutch leads and wastes no time pumping out tracks. His remix is my favorite of the two, it’s so fiery and filled to the brim with energy. It doesn’t fully take liftoff until 2:15 but I gotta give it to him, it goes hard. Sadly though DJ DaGo’s interpretation was not featured in Tiësto’s top 15, but 3lau and Sex Ray Vision’s was so go to Tiësto’s facebook page and show them some love and check out DJ DaGo’s sounds on his soundcloud! This weeks full mix features Tiesto’s 219th episode of his radio show, Club Life. Tiesto, Armin, Above and Beyond, Pete Tong, and many others have paved the path for EDM superstars to have these types of radio shows. Some of those recently following that path include two of the biggest names in the current scene, Avicii and Skrillex, both acquiring time slots on Sirius XM. Avicii’s show is called Le7els and Skrillex’s show is named Mothership both featuring the current anthems of their genres. While these shows are available for download, sometimes the original is the best, and for now, this stays true. Enjoy the next two hours of musical bliss that is Tiesto.
