The “I Just Wanna Dance” Playlist
Follow @electroklctnSo in honor of all of your support, specifically reaching 1000 Facebook fans, I have created a bit of a party playlist for you Kollectors! It’s a combination of all sorts of House, Electro House, Trance, Moombahton, Drum and Bass, and Dubstep that I choose on one criteria, danceability. While I realize some of the tracks have less danceability than others, it’s still a solid compilation. The batch downloads are below if you wanna grab them all at once! Enjoy.
Arrows – Icicle
Follow @electroklctnHailing from Holland, Icicle is a new school of dnb djs that is blurring the lines between the subgenres of drum and bass. Icicle has gained attention from artists such as Pendulum and Noisia with his signature tech-funk/darkstep sound. Under the Ice, his debut album, was released on the Shogun Audio label last year. Arrows starts out with soothing sounds of traditional Chinese strings then leads into the heavier, darker drum pattern and bass line. Cheers.

Well, you would get something that sounds like this remix from Mustard Pimp. It’s a blend of all sorts of genres rubbing shoulders with all kinds of productions and honestly, I love it. 539 Limited Remixes
Follow @electroklctnHere’s some drum and bass to get you going. The guy behind the up and coming 539 Limited, Billy Smith, is a 16 year old from Norwich, UK and let me be the first to say, these are not your typical 16 year old beats. Unlike most up and comers, he has a full length release already out full of original productions as well as a handful of remixes. One of his Ellie Goulding remixes were posted on the main site so check that out here. He produces both dubstep and drum and bass but for today sit back and enjoy two of his drum and bass remixes. Kollect on.

Flourenscence – MiMOSA
Follow @electroklctnSome glitch for your Saturday. Mimosa’s style is all his own, with indisputable hints of The Glitch Mob and Pretty Lights. “Flourenscence” off the 58 Degrees EP is a track that pushes along with increasing power and emotion through some intense drum and bass. I remember being blown away by his “Days Go By” remix, and this kind of groove brings me back to that initial excitement I had about this artist. Kollect below

Netsky
Follow @electroklctnOk so Netsky is a huge factor into why I have fallen madly for drum and bass in the recent months. One of my good friends showed him to me over the summer and since then I have not been able to get away. Netsky aka Boris Daenen is a 22 year old from Edegem near Antwerp in Belgium. He has been on fire since 2008 and has released songs to a plethora of different labels. Netsky is now signed to the legendary drum and bass label Hospital Records and released his debut album last year. Within months of his new album, Netsky won the award for “Best Newcomer Producer” at the Drum + Bass Arena Awards in 2010. Sparking a movement of new producers/dj’s with his tranquil, melancholy, so-called liquid funk sound, Netsky is on a path to take over drum and bass and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
This track was produced by Netsky and Danny Byrd, one of Netsky’s label mates on Hospital. These two make an incredible duo and in my opinion should produce together more often. This song was featured in both of their essential mixes and for a good reason. Check it out.
This is a remix that Netsky did for Die & Interface and man did he do a fantastic job. The bass line on this song just blows me away. It takes a hold of you quickly and never lets go.
This next song is by far my favorite Netsky song and the first time I heard it I couldn’t get it out of my head for a week. I’m pretty sure I just walked around campus with it cranked all the way up in my headphones.
I’m not going to lie to you all. I did have this song as my ringtone for the better part of the first semester. I know, it is that good.

I <3 U SO (Skream’s Made Zdar Feel Like He Was 20 Again Remix) – Cassius
Follow @electroklctnSo this song has a hold of me right now and it’s not letting go anytime soon. The original is incredible but something about this remix just multiplies that ten fold. And that something is the drum and bass aspect that Skream brings to this song. The build up is smooth and the drop is quite frankly just fantastic. Skream, aka Oliver Jones, is a 25 year old english producer/dj and is part of dubstep super-group Magnetic Man. Kollect on.

Shoreless – Camo & Krooked
Follow @electroklctnThis is a new drum and bass banger by the Austrian duo, Camo & Krooked. The drop at 0:53 gets me every time. Just try not to start nodding your head. Camo & Krooked are currently signed to the legendary dnb label Hospital Records. With label mates like Netsky and Danny Byrd, continue to expect huge tracks from these guys.
